Denise’s Quilt

Summer Palace

Janis made this quilt for her sister’s birthday in 2011. The pattern was called ‘Summer palace’ but Janis called it ‘White Wings Dreaming’. It is reminiscent of the lattice windows seen in Japan and China. It is done in a patchwork of beautiful pale blue and purple fabric designs. These are based on wisteria,lotus and white cranes. It is a very special quilt.
